Deeper Roots

"But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it.  This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

Matthew 13:23

Be encouraged by the Words of Jesus and then allow those words to penetrate your heart deeply until you understand them.  Sometimes it just takes a moment to slow down and be still.  That's the challenge, am I right?

People seem to have an internal standard that is their guide for how much time they will spend time with Jesus.  An unspoken behavior that guides how much energy they will invest in learning about Jesus.  In other words, there is a cut-off point regarding how deep they will go for God.

God doesn't have a cut-off point.  His love for you is so great that He sent Jesus (His only Son) to earth.  Jesus held nothing back - He died for you.  Now that's deep.

Jesus's love for you is complete.  He holds nothing back.

How does your love for Him measure up?  Do you hold some parts of your life back from Him or have you given Him your whole heart?
